Beachbody’s Ultimate Reset: Day 14

Well,  I lost another pound so that brings my total to 7! It’s the last day of taking Detox and…. I’m not really sad about that. Woke up early again and was ready  to rock and roll which made for a very productive day!

We switched it up today and had some vegan Tropical Strawberry Shakeology this morning! It’s an appropriate substitute for morning meals on the Ultimate Reset, BUT keep in mind that especially in weeks 2 & 3 you aren’t having much protein so it’s probably not the best idea to have Tropical Strawberry Shakeology everyday. And make sure you stay away from Chocolate and Greenberry, at least for now, because they aren’t vegan. I do have to say though…. it tasted sooooo good! 🙂

Lunch today was salad (of course) and then the squash soup we made last night. I have to say, it was pretty good! It was just the squash from last night blended with coconut milk- easy and delicious! Definitely easy to do if you didn’t make it ahead of time, but if you’re away from home for work, it’s a cinch to make it the night before and just warm it up at lunch time.

Alkalinize is like old news now- not a big deal to take it at all! Thank goodness, because I was a little worried the first time I tried it… The point of this is to have your body expect the nutrients it needs at a certain time which is why these supplements are so regimented. Alkalinize falls into this- our bodies need what’s in it in that afternoon time to keep us energized and efficient. That’s why we’re able to drink it down with no problem whatsoever- our bodies want it!

Dinner was not one of our favorites- I mean it was okay, but we have enjoyed other meals much more than this one. It was Lemon Pepper Kale and Edamame and Roasted Corn Succotash. I thought it actually tasted pretty good, but I was really tired of eating it by the end and I think we used too much lime because that was sort of grossing me out. I know that probably sounds like the weirdest thing to complain about, but there you go. I ate it all though- I mean that was dinner and I know it’s healthy, but… I’m glad we don’t eat it again! Neil basically hated it- he didn’t eat much of his so, needless to say, this won’t be a recipe we make post-Reset!

Tonight we took our last Detox packet! WOOOT!! And this is my last Detox packet face! Can I be honest about the Detox supplement- it really wasn’t that bad at all. You hear detox and you think you’re going to be running to the bathroom every 5 minutes and it’s not like that at all. It’s super gentle and really didn’t disrupt my normal life. They did a really great job with this!

I will say that along with detoxing my body, my emotions were also feeling the strain of the detox. Some old issues were popping up and I had some moments where I was upset. This is pretty normal as we detox one area of our life, other areas follow suit- especially when we’re talking the physical and the emotional. Today, on the last day of taking it though, I feel good and maybe dealing with some of those things was exactly what I needed to truly complete this Reset process.

Wow- starting Phase 3 tomorrow– Restore!
