So yesterday was Day 1 of Les Mills Pump and I was totally stoked to get started! I actually got the program last week so I’ve been itching to start and I was not disappointed!
The first workout was the Pump Challenge which is sort of a run through of the moves you can expect in the workouts to come. It’s 25 minutes long and I honestly didn’t even have a chance to look at the clock on the screen- it just FLEW by! It introduced the rep effect which is basically the idea of doing a lot of reps with lightER weights to build that long, lean muscle we all want. There was some great music including a Lady Gaga hit so that was definitely helpful! All the movements and reps are coordinated with the music which just rocks.
So with the lower body work especially, my heart rate increased some and I had definitely worked some muscles. But… I’m getting ready for a trip to the Bahamas so I decided to up the game and add in some Brazil Butt Lift in the form of Bum Bum. I felt great after those two workouts- got them done in about an hour and was on with my day!
But….
Today….
I’m definitely paying for that- haha! I’m so sore in the hamstring, booty area from doubling up and I LOVE IT!
So Day 1 is in the Book- it’s a rest day from Pump today but you know what that means…. TurboFire coming up! So looking forward to some more Pump tomorrow! Stay tuned…
